Well, I admit it.  I got caught up in Felicia Day and The Guild’s little April Fools prank last week.  It’s probably a good thing that Lil’ Guildies won’t be coming to a monitor near you, I still think Embryonic Bladezz is hilarious in a sick and twisted way.

Regardless, I wasn’t duped nearly as badly as the people of Jafr, in Jordan.

Apparently the editor of Al Ghad, a Jordanian daily newspaper, thought it would be hysterical if he printed a front page article detailing a late night visit from little green men to the town of Jafr, about 300 km of Amman.

Well, not so according to Jafr’s mayor, Mohammed Mleihan who sent security agents to the area:

“Students didn’t go to school, their parents were frightened and I almost evacuated the town’s 13,000 residents,” Mleihan told the Associated Press. “People were scared that aliens would attack them.”

Ooops!

Al Ghad’s managing editor, Moussa Barhoumeh has since apologized.

Sound familiar?
